The sum of the details that dress the face that adorn it make us who we are and therefore make us unique.

My name is Analía Stancato. I was born in Buenos Aires in 1978 but I have lived in Córdoba since I was a little girl.
In 1999 I graduated from Escuela Provincial de Bellas Artes Dr. Jóse Figueroa Alcorta, where I got my degree as expert and teacher in Plastic Arts which entitles me to teach at different levels (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary). However, I chose to work in a workshop, devoting my time to portraits in pencil.
On several occasions I had the opportunity of showing my creations, which allowed me to get in contact with the audience and develop the activity of drawing pencil portraits based on photographs on demand.
My love for portraits comes, partially, form the feeling I have that a drawing not only catches the emotion of the moment, but even without trying to, it can go further and deeper. If we could only stop for a moment, observe and communicate with the look, more than with words, we would understand more. Looks don´t lie, they are there, transparent, with all its good and bad. This honesty I see in each portrait is what captivates me.
In this technique, so simple and at the same time so beautiful, light and shadow coexist in a constant game, they feed on each other and, in that battle, manage to captivate the viewer. A simple shine in dark eyes is enough to illuminate and reveal the soul of a person. Everything is born from there, from the look... you can say so much without saying a word. And those who say the least, those who are not listened to, keep the words in their eyes and with a single look they shake the soul, they pierce you, they hurt you.
